Mountain Waters RV Park is on the Viking Trail just north of Portland Creek. It's a good place to camp if you are visiting the Arches, Parson's Pond, Portland Creek or Daniel's Harbour. We stayed in June and there were several fishermen camping there, waiting for the salmon to start running in the rivers nearby.

Mountain Waters has fully serviced sites, both back-in and drive-thru. The sites are wooded and fairly level. Portland Creek Pond is a short walk from your camping site. It's one of the largest 'ponds' on Newfoundland's west coast and is bordered by the Long Range Mountains.

Mountain Waters also has nice looking cabins for rent that are ajacent to the RV sites.

Mountain Water's is about 30 km north of Gros Morne National Park. Once you pass Portland Creek, watch for the large sign on the highway (Route 430). Turn right and follow the gravel road for 1.5 km to the campground office.
