Three Mile Rock is the first community north of Gros Morne National Park on The Viking Trail (Route 430). It's just north of Cow Head and just before you get to Parson's Pond.
The town is a collection of homes on a road just off the highway. The community has a very nicely built and well maintained viewing platform. There is a parking area in front of the platform on the west side of the highway.
You have a great view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Looking to the north you can see the sandy cliffs at Parson's Pond.
