If you are staying at the Island Cove RV Park, the beach is easy to find. Just walk from your trailer to the end of the campground and follow a short trail to the wooden staircase. If you are staying someplace else in La Scie the campground is easy to find. Just drive to the end of Water Street on the north side of the harbour.
There is a parking area at the end of the street right in front of the campground. Stop by the campground office. They sell a pass for the park which helps with the upkeep of all the trails. It's a short walk through the park to the beach.
It's a rocky beach that you can walk along slowly. There is lots of broken rock along the bottom of the rocky cliffs in La Scie. Water gets into the cracks, freezes in the winter, expands and breaks off pieces of jagged rock. This cycle has obviously been happening for a long time.
On one of our hikes, we spotted an eagle soaring over the seaside cliffs. We speculated that there may be a nest at the beach, so armed with a pair of binoculars, we headed down the stairs.

The Beach is right next to the harbour entrance. You can see fishing boats from La Scie going out and returning with their catch. We wanted to get a closer look at the eagle, so we headed up the stairs and followed The Lookout Trail which has a great vantage point to see the top of the cliff the bird was perched on. We observed the eagle for over an hour. You can get to the top of the Lookout Trail either by hiking, or driving up a gravel road to a large parking area.
