The Trail to Barbace Cove begins at the end of Forest Road. The trail head features a couple of the displays that tie to The French Rooms Cultural Centre. During tourist season fresh bread is made at the working oven. The trail itself is mostly even. Plant life is diverse and the trees are stunted due to the strong winds off the gulf. Our greatest thrill was spotting 2 caribou feeding. We watched them for over half an hour at a distance as they fed continuously. Moose are also frequently spotted in this area.
