St. Chad's is on the Eastport Peninsula about 5 km north of Eastport. From the Trans Canada, follow the signs for Eastport. The road runs through Terra Nova National Park. When you get to Eastport, follow the signs for the Saint Brendan's Ferry.

St. Chad's is on your right before you get to Burnside. The town was known as Damnable in the 1800's. The name was changed in the 1890's. The name change was recommended by Reverend T. M. Wilson. From the town you can see Damnable Island and Damnable Bay.

St. Chad's is very quiet and very pretty. There are several cottages, stages and docks. There is some commercial fishing also.
