As you are entering Port au Choix on Hwy 430-28 you will come upon Ben's Studio on your right. You do not want to miss this. Ben has something to say about everything and it is shown in his artwork. Many of his pieces use the slats from old lobster cages. From this he creates images that reflect lifestyles past and present and the politics of the region. Pieces about major news events that directly impact NFLD are also on display.

There is no point entering Ben's Studio without talking to Ben. Each one of his works tells a story and he will tell you the story behind it and many others! Another passion of his are major news events and he feels he would be remiss if he did not reflect it in his work. The Fort McMurray Fire is a series he is working on now. Many Newfoundlanders work and live in Fort McMurray and the fire has a major impact on this area.
If its a decent day ask Ben to see his vegetable garden. A great deal of dedication and ingenuity goes into successful gardening in this enviroment!
