The Middle Brook Falls Trail is in Glenburnie on the south side of South Arm of Bonne Bay. To reach Middle Brook Falls, take the Viking Trail (Route 430) from The Trans Canada Highway at Deer Lake. Turn left onto Highway 431 at Wiltondale. It's a 30-40 minute drive with spectacular views from Wiltondale to the Middle Brook Cottages. Enter the parking lot and go to the end cottage on the right. The trailhead runs up along side it, on the right. We went into the offices for the cottages first and that was a real treat! Great souvenirs and crafts and the nicest hostess!
The locals told us about this little gem. The trail is short and well worn. Long time locals refer to it fondly as a favourite place to go swimming as kids. There are 3 different elevations. When we were there the spring runoff was very heavy.

The primary trail takes you up along the falls. A secondary path takes you down along the water. The path starts between the gravel parking lot and the bridge. The bridge was built in 1946, before Confederation. Once you get to the water there is no trail. You just pick your way over the rocks and go as far as you are comfortable with.
